I have opened a few tickets, tried all the possible things like factory resets, switching between WiFi and Wired, removing them from HomeKit, etc. Still - AirPlay works for a few hours, then it breaks. I can’t restart the stream. I need to power-cycle the speakers, which is, of course, very annoying and makes me just go back to some plain-old-and-dumb wired-speakers. It sure would be cheaper!
The only approximate solution is to start the AirPlay with a Ikea/Symfonisk speaker and then pair them in the SonosApp. Then each time the stream breaks, go in the app to break the group (click apply) and then re-group (again click apply). This recovers it faster than a power-cycle, but it’s still quite bad. The cheapest bluetooth adapters are easier to use than this...
What’s going on? Is it a bug, or are my speakers bad? Or should I just throw the Sonos Ones out and switch to Symfonisk?
P.S. I was thinking of switching to Era, but I really don’t want to waste my money if this is a software bug and it will be just the same.
